RTX 4000 Support

Hey there,

I was wondering if there will be an update to improve RTX 4090 support?

Mine is rendering with 112W most time and spikes at 208W power usage an doesn't even need it's fans the most time...

Is rendering fast as hell but Isn't there more possible?

Is there any Info from DAZ about this?

Thank you.

  • There is info from nVidia - they have just released a version of iray with native support for the 4000 series cards. Assuming that is enough to resolve the issues, and passes Daz testing when integrated in Daz Studio, it would probably then be in the next update.

    112W ?

I dont know if that is normal for the RTX 4090, sorry cannot confirm. Have you tried to reinstall your drivers ? since I cant find anyone else mentioning this, are you sure its a Daz issue ?

My RTX 3080 runs at the full 350 Wattage (+a little bit more). Very interesting to know that Daz may not yet support the 4000 series. Was planning to get 4090 just for Daz, what sort of testing have you done to narrow down it's a Daz issue?

Just because you have a 4090 I dont see how that would make it render with only 112W-208W -- what wattage do you get while playing games ?, I cant believe support is that broken, but since searching "RTX 4090" didnt really show others reporting the same, I have to assume something Local related and not Software related.

  • Thanks for the Info. So I was rendering 2000x2000 pixel and this was just not enough laod for 4090 :D with 4K and 8K it's at 250W.
