Eyes are very dark

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

When I look at them in INVIDEA Iray and even a little way into a render, one of my character's eyes are very dark. Is there anything in the Surfaces tab or anywhere else that might help me to lighten them? Or a specific product?

    Are the eyes otherwise OK, or are they very noisy? Some eyes have much more complex materials, those may reduce the amount of light getting through or may simply take much longer to converge on their final values (which would tend to show up as being noisy when the rest of the scene was more-or-less finished). Eyes are pretty much interchangeable, so you could just use settings from a different character.

    I don't think they're noisy, but I'm not sure what that means. Although they're dark, they also look particularly shiny, which is nice.
