Merge Character with Simulation

Is there a way to save a character (with its hair and clothing) as a subset of a scene (easy), simulate (much quicker and safer all by itself), and here's the tricky bit: merge it back into the scene, bringing the simulation with it?

  • You could just turn off Visible In Simulation for the bits you want to ignore, or select the bits you want to include (both the things to simulate and the collisions objects) and use the Simulate Selected command from the dForce sub-menu of the Simulation Settings option menu (the lined/hamburger button in the top corner or right-click the tab).
