According to Nvidia, dForce bug ID’d and will be fixed by mid Nov

I opened a ticket with NVidia re: the dForce problem with the current drivers (which I have to use because I have a 4090). After some back and forth, I got this:

"This bug is fixed and will be in our next driver release scheduled for first half of November.  We are also planning on releasing a hotfix driver release sometime this week which will also contain this fix.  The NVIDIA bug number is 3838022 which you can use to look up the bug fix in the release notes for our next driver."

so...hopefully it will be fixed soon.

I wondered about this after noticing they updated the drivers again and thought I'd give them a try (526.47 game version - 522 broke dForce) but dForce is still broken on this version.

Thanks for the info. Is this affecting all or most Nvidia drivers? Can't use Dforce ever since last update (Daz 4.21 update and Nvidia RTX 2080 super driver update.) is this an Nvidia update error or Daz?

True, I meant with an nVidia GPU.

Apparently there is a game-ready driver with a fix due sometime tomorrow, Studio driver likely to follow in about a week.

Sadly they haven't fixed it even with this new patch https://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/526.86/526.86-win11-win10-release-notes.pdf unless the release notes are wrong. I haven't tested, cba to reinstall drivers tbh.

Tested the new driver, but it didn't work again, then i reinstall driver 517... Do you think the will solve this problem?

Mine's still borked.

It worked a few times, then just stopped and I get the same error as before. I did another clean install of the drivers, and it just refuses to work. Oddly, it worked when I had only one g8.1 with only one item needing dforce. So, I loaded the scene I'd been working on with a g8.1, a g8 with some clothing, and a dforce duvet. And that's when it crashed again and has refused to work since.
