G8 morphs not loading with 8.1 figures

Using Daz Studio 4.20 when I loaded  a Genesis 8.1 figure into the scene it had all the G8 morphs on it on top of the 8.1 specfic ones. But now on a new installation of 4.21 when I load a G8.1 figure only the 8.1 specific morphs show up. What is going on, and how to fix it?  My figures are virtually useless without all my morphs.

    Yes, if I load a G8 figure it has all morphs.

    I don't know how that could happen then. Is the content management system running (Smart content, categories, etc.)?

    I never used CMS.

    Installing Ds with Daz Central instead of the stand alone installer seems to have fixed the issue. Don't know why / how.
