Is there any way to vertically raise a backdrop image?

Hi Friend, easiest way for me to create background is using primitive plane, afterwards I am able to adjust background anyway I choose.  This also works for me, using environment background, you can try this, adjust the image resolution to render setting value, with photo software such as Photoshop, Gimp, etc....

If scene is 960x720 in render setting, using photo editor, select background image, crop out same size in photo editor, from the ground up.  I'll give you an example.  My scene is set to 960 x 720, backdrop looks incorrect, all stretched out, improper vertical height, Image is 600 x 764.  In photoshop I use crop tool, set resolutions.  Now I have background of choice.  Hope this helps.

Cool, happy I could help.  Been a ghostrider fan for years, let's put it this way, my GR comics have spider webs, Lol !!!!  Would be cool if a PA creates the character for Daz.

Wow ! great find.  I might give it a shot in the future.  Definetly a comic fanatic.

A couple of vendors here and there have bent or curved the background plane as well - sort of like a cyclorama or some of those new 4K television displays. One background I have comes with shaders (I've had it for a couple of years, and only noticed the shaders this week)... that's something I'll have to try and wrap my head around.

Vaguely in the same category, note that you can raise or lower a skydome and possibly a star-dome as well. Also if I'm not mistaken a morphing primitive may contain a background image as well.
