Copyright question
Hi I'm new to Daz 3D
There is a pose/image that I would like to purchase to use as my reference photo/catalog for poses and for tracing uses - Am I allow to do this after purchasing this image?
What is the format when I purchase these images? Is it jpeg? or in a Daz 3D format?
For this certain project, I'll be creating a commercial poster/Ad in Photoshop and would like to use this certain pose (just the pose, I'm not going to be copying the model's face or clothes) to trace on to my illustration.
Thank you

Yes, the pose is a Studio format (DAZ is the company, Studio the product). You apply it to the figures it's for in Studio.
In this case, you would need to apply it to a figure then render and use the render as the base layer in Photoshop to paint over.
The items from the store are usable commerically as renders, so you would be fine that way. Using someone else's render, including the promo pics, no, you'd need to contact the original artist.
I actually don't need this in a 3D format - it's going to be just a flat 2D illustration and I just want to use this pose...
So do I have to contact the original artist? How do I do this?
Also if I did re-rendered this and altered the pose a little would I be okay in using the pose?
The pose files are just a configuration file for the actual figure. Without applying it to the figure and rendering, all you have are the promo images and thumbnails for the content library. I'm assuming that one of the promos is exactly what you need...
Can you specify which item you are looking at...it may be easier to tell you how to proceed from what you are specifically looking for.
And as a general note, what you render is yours to do with what you want...at least with the products from the DAZ store. Other marketplaces have different different rules.
I just want to use this pose as a reference photo... I wont be using the model's face, clothing - just the pose.
