icon.png thumbnails in Render Library (turn off?)

Is there a way to tell Daz Studio NOT to create those icon.png thumbnails in your Render Library.
For me, they are useless and get in the way. They make it that much harder when searching for a specific image, and doubles the amount of images in the library.
Thanks!

I find them annoying, too, I just delete them from time to time.
Yes, but it seems they all come back as soon as I run Daz Studio again (after I deleted them all). Just opening Daz Studio automatically creates the thumbnails for every image in the Render Library.
I was hoping for an option that would just turn that feature off.
There is no way to turn them off, but you can point the render Library to a non-image folder (Render Library tab option menu>Render Directory Manager) and not use the library option at all in the render windows - click the icon to the elft of the library name and select the option to specify a folder instead.
They're created by the "Render Library" pane/tab. I never save images in the top level "Renders" directory so I don't get them but, as an experiment, I just navigated to the sub-directory in the "Render Library" pane (click on the "Folders:" drop down at the top) and it magically created the damn things. If it doesn't do that I guess it won't show pictures, but if you use the Windows directory viewer or the Mac equivalent and turn on "Extra Large Icons" or the like the DAZ thumbnails are superfluous.
You can simply undock and close the "Render Library" pane then you should not have the problem, but I have to admit since I never create anything in the top level directory I'm not sure it works for that.
If I'm rendering to a window I always specify the subdirectory and file name in the save dialog. The settings are temporarily saved to "Render Settings.../General". Unfortunately (and this is a bug) those two settings; the directory and the file name, are not saved as part of the render settings in the scene file so they have to be set every time (I use instances, so they don't persist across invocations).
Until today I've never actually understood what the Render Library tab was trying to do, I just ignored it (I still don't know what the Render Album tab is meant to do.)
When I'm doing an animation and sometimes for render-to-window I go into Render Settings and manually update the directory to the correct directory and the file name to a suitable prefix. It's a pane in the window having to do it every time I open the scene file but, whatever.
Thanks Richard, I'll give that a try.
But that means you have to specify the folder every time, right?
Can't say about earlier versions, using 4.21 atm but gladly, Render Library Pane is a plugin which you can disable to prevent it from generating these icons entirely. In my case even with the Render Library pane not being visible, it'd create those. Disabling the plugin helped instantly.
It remembers the previously used options.
