Is there any hope that Daz will develop a hair room?

I hope this subject hasn't been beaten to death - I did do some searches to see if it existed.

I have read that Garibaldi should be working in 4.8 but it sure isn't for me! Maybe there is a Garibaldi update that I haven't found yet...

But I just wondered if a really good hair system was ever revealed on the DAZ roadmap.

DAZ has almost always turned to 'community' support for stuff like that...and well, there are 2 hair systems existing.  So, no I doubt there's a 'hair room' on the horizon.

That said, what are the problems you are having with Garibaldi?

There's quite a bit of 4.8 specific info in the last few pages...

Thanks! Garibaldi is actually functioning mostly. I have been using Cinema 4D hair but with the introduction of iRay in 4.8 I was hoping not to simplify workflow to be able to do everything inside of DAZ.

The DAZ addons you mentioned are pretty basic compared to C4D.

It's more like the difference between a Ford Focus (Studio) and  BMW 5 series (C4D)....than what's under the hood of the hair plugins.  And one of the problems is that everything understands a different curve/strand 'dialect', but nobody wants to build a universal curve or a universal translator.
