Tips for replicating the sitting in a dress pose in Arcadia 8.1 Starter

I tried for ages to replicate the pose and dress draping in the attached file, which is from the Arcadia 8.1 Starter Bundle. The dress appears to be the "dForce CB Apollonia Clothing Set for Genesis 8 and 8.1 Females" and I have that, but I'm just not sure what settings to use with dForce to achieve results like that. Does anyone have any tips?

No idea if it's what the artist did, but for sitting poses I usually use animated drape, going from a standing pose in from of the chair to the desired sitting pose, with sometimes a few intermediate "helper poses".

  • Thanks, Leana. This is helpful. I'd tried a couple of these things before but maybe just not been patient enough. I ended up switching off the front and back extra parts of the dress and using an intermediate pose and I've got something I'm happy with finally. After I did that, I froze simulation on the main dress and then simulated on the extra stuff like scarfs and whatnot.
