dForce Item disappearing
I have creating clothing in Marvelous designer, imported the OBJ->Transfer Utility->Add Dynamic dForce Modifier and simutaled. (I am still learning and no expert)
I made a pair vintage nightgown bloomers and brought them in using the above process. The garment behaves well when adjust body shapers and applying poses.
Simulation: To keep the test simple, I am simulating current frame, with simulte from memorized poistion off. I see the the spring messages scrolling by and as soon as it starts "Stabilizing the Simulation" the garment vanishes. I have had them 'explode' before when there are too many collisions, but this one just disappears.
I did use remesh in Marvelous Designer, though I have not taken it into ZBrush yet for zRemesh or Retop. As the garment is loose, thin material, there are a fair amount of wrinkles between the legs.
Any ideas?

If you have a lot of spring length messages it may well be exploding so badly that it has flown out of sight - try using a less dense mesh (and make sure it is only a single layer).
Thank you for those tips. On the edges of the openings, the material is folded back on itself and sewn, like a hem. (I am better at sewing that atcreating mesh). The edge is gathered and ruffled, and I wanted the visible inside to have a texture to it. I will experiment with reducing the mesh and making these ruffled edges single layer mesh. (I will have to learn how to make the sigle sided mesh textured on both sides.) I will post here when when I find the cause.

I wanted to post an update. I fround the problem with my disapperaing garment on Simulate. It was in fact "blowing up" but in an extreme way. I removed the folded over hem, which I really wanted to get a puffy edge o thte openings. I have done this before using a little air pressure in the hem and keeping the layer of the mesh from colliding. (a lot of work). Using Clone Layer Over seems to work better.
HOWEVER, this was not the problem (two layerd mesh). The problem was in the Marvelous Designer remesh function. The curves in the garment pattern caused the remesh to fill in the gaps with triangles. I ahve gotten away with a few in the past, but this garmennt literally had hundreds of them. I turned off remesh and the garment would simulated in dForce. (although the quad geometry was a little chaotic. IF you uuse MD, you will know what I am talking about. MD does have a Retology Tool, but I really like zRemesh in ZBrush..Time to renew my subscription.
I purchased the "Double-Sided Iray Shaders" from Vyktoria a while back; time to break them out again. I am going to experiment with the orginal method of mesh that folds back on itself for realistic hemed edges.(Just have to keep them from touching or colliding.)
