I have an obj file with dds textures none of my 3D softwares open

well, after converting all the dds files to png using irfanview batch convertor, dumb dense stupid wendy opens the mtl file in note pad uses find next to paste png on each dds entry
until
SHE REALISES THERE ARE 900+ TEXTURES!!!!! :snake:
is there a 3D program, please do not say Blender, that will open it and let me export the object with a more common format?

Why not do a global search and replace, .dds to .png (to make sure you don't catch any dds in the middle of a name).

not sure how to do that in notepad, I only saw find and find next as options, I could maybe with Microsoft word if I only knew how to do it, I am pretty dumb when it comes to wordproccessing etc.
actually other than 3D I have done very little on a computer in the few years I have used one :red:
was hoping a program could just open it textured & export it fixed but not that simple, never is!

thanks for that, handy to know for those personalized letters too where you replace the names!
could do awful things to Guttenburg books!

In word pad, Ctrl+H for search and replace

In Notetab+ its Ctrl+R for search and replace.
