48-bit textures?

Just out of curiosity, how extensive is Daz Studio's support for 48-bit and 64-bit textures? This is 16 bits per channel (RGB and RGBA). I know they're mainly used for displacement maps, but is this 16 bits per channel precision maintained for all texture map slots? Would there be any noticeable benefit using a 48-bit texture for a color map?
Also, what's the highest level of texture precision does DS support? Will DS upload a 96-bit texture to Iray? 32 bits per channel?
