Starter Essentials question

Install manager tells me that there are updates available for G8F and G8M Starter Essentials - but I am (happily) running DS 4.15.0.14 and was wondering if it is safe to install the Starter Essentials updates or if they contain stuff meant for 4.20+ DS versions...?
The reason I'm considering downloading the updates is that G8.1 acts funky when I apply G8 morphs (which of course could be a for a million other reasons).
