Hello! After the movie Odyssey last year I released my new movie "Rome" now. You can watch it on my youtube channel at the link below.
I used iclone 6 to render the film and Daz3D models. Produced and directed by me. The script is also written by me but it is not based on real historical events. Music is taken from the games europa universalis: Rome and Total war Attila. I would like to hear your opinion. Thank you.

    Well done!

This is another video of yours which I enjoyed very much!

You must have put many long hours into making this. It was a good story and I kept wondering what would happen next, right to the end.

    Thanks for showing it.

Thank you very much! Yes it took me 3 months to finish it.

OK, I look at your film and I have two choices: nothing to post on this thread or to say what I think.
You can stop here if you want…

Very beautiful work, but not paid enough attention to the details…
For example, the shades do not correspond to the characters (compositing?), they seems to walk on a frozen lake and their texture is very metallic.
It's a pity that you don't use a program a little top-of-the-range, I'm shure that you would do an excellent work !
Overall a very good work, the very adequate sound and cutting are effective.
Afflicted for my frankness, but if you posts your work here, it's to have an opinion I suppose (if not, forget my post) and I don't forget that my first animations wasn't so nice that this one.
Q: wich program are you using ?
    Good continuation !

I use iclone 6 and DAZ3D models. About metallic texture, this is how iclone renders. Anyway, I use it instead of top of the range programs as you mentioned, because it renders very fast. No problem about your opinion. That's why I post my work here so others can see it and tell me what do they like and what don't, so I can improve myself in the future.

There is a lot in that video, yes not perfect but certainly a lot of work and time gone into it.
If you saved your project files you may later do a "directors edit"
suggestions from me, not that I can talk
    are
move hands out of penetration body using motion editor
bake softcloth physX then adjust any body slipups with motion editor too
hide underlying bodyparts poking through clothes by turning down opacity, highlight and ambient
use supersampling 3x and shadows, make shadow map highest resolution but make ground only recieve shadows likewise any interior scene walls , still have some blur.
Add displacement and tesselation to props. Use Substance if you have it.
Render in Indigo if you are REALLY keen and have lots of time

We have one or two specialists on the Carrara forum who use iClone, it seems that it's a very good program which evolves very well…

About criticisms, I often posts my WIP' S on Carrarators to have other opinions and thus to be able to take them account in the creation of my film, I prefer the criticism than the compliments, that's how we progresses in our hobby !
