Are Ghost Lights incompatible with Gobo lights?

Are ghost lights incompatible with gobo lights?

I have "Light 2 Life Light Gels for Iray" lights and I added a square ghost light from "Iray Ghost Light Kit" and my Light 2 Life gobo lights went out.

Is there some kind of incompatibility issue here?

I am using Daz 4.20

Well, they might well wash the lights out - and if the gobos are shinging through a screen then a ghost light, with its large area of emission, would blur the shadows if used as the source light.

Hello Richard, thank you very much for your comment.

I did not substitute the gobo light source for the ghost light,

I just added the ghost light to the scene and the gobo light sources turned themselves off.

I will test it out more extensively.

It could be an error on my part somehow.

As Richard said it could be an intensity issue, if  the ghost light is bright enough to obscure the shadows generated by the gobo. Check the illumination numbers for each and see if there is a large variation in numbers between the gobo and ghost lights.
