multi instances of studio - why is that so difficult?

I downloaded a script from the release notes for DS 4.12 

I then attempted to actually run this script to no avail. It walways just launches the default application in a single instance.

This makes working on multimple scenes at the same time...well, impossible.

Is there no convenient way to do what most other software does, and simply run a second instance in another process?

If I may be so bold and dream on.... would be nice to allow multipe documents open, so I can copy and paste objects between documents the same way I can in most applications.

The script can be used to launch a new isntance from within the running isntance, or ro provide the command line code to be pasted into a new shortcut/alias to launch the new isntance from an icon without needing a currently running instance. It is a Daz Studio script not an OS script, so needs Daz Studio running.
