The newly released version of DazToUnreal that can be installed using the Daz Installers (DIM and DazCentral) is an updated version with all current features and updates from David Vodhanel's branch merged in.

    Hi Ellessarr,

I can not answer for David, but if you look at the history, you will see that David Vodhanel has consistently made updates to his branch for a while now.  And you will also see that Daz has made occasional updates to their branch to incorporate his latest changes as well as changes from other people in the community.  I do not see any reason to be concerned or alarmed that this is suddenly changing.  I hope this helps reassure you about the future of updates to DazToUnreal Bridge.

Have a great day and good luck with your Unreal projects!

  • Hello, sorry I haven't been checking back here as often.  I mostly answer questions on the Discord.

My current plan is to merge these changes into my repository as I have with updates from Daz in the past or to make a new fork off of them.  Then I'll keep adding my changes on top of this version and I assume we'll continue to sync up.  This change is much larger than changes we've had in the past, so I need to find a block of time to work on the merge and updating my build processes.

I'm confused as well, currently using 4.27 I see there are two places where David and Daniel publishes updates.

    - First one is here
    https://github.com/daz3d/DazToUnreal/releases

where I have to install dzunrealbridge.dll inside Daz3D and UE4.27-v2.0.1b-win.zip on Unreal. They both have version 2.

    - The second is here
    https://github.com/David-Vodhanel/DazToRuntime/releases

where I can only get the Unreal plugin but it have version 5.

Which of the two should I install?
