Iray CPU rendering and temperature

Greetings,

I am trying to render a simple iray scene but Daz keeps rendering through the CPU and it gets very hot.

Here is what I tried:

  • Lowered the render settings and used Scene Optimizer, still too hot.
  • Tried 3Delight. Either I don't know how to use it properly or I just didn't like the end result.
  • PC got dusted off recently but I did it again just in case. 

I am using Genesis 8 models and below are my specs. Do I need to change a setting or something, or are my specs not good enough?

Intel i5-11400f 

16 GB RAM

GeForce GTX 970 4GB
