Shutter speed is fractions of a secont - 1/shutter speed seconds.
Yes, render time is in seconds - the default is two hours.
Thanks, for the mind, boggle. So a shutter speed of 180=0.00555555556 of a second. Got it.
The DAZ Studio camera generally follows photography rules. So if you read on book on photography regarding f-stops and shutter speed, and ISO film stock speed, you'll get a better handle on what those camera setting represent and how they can influence your renders.
This is why I asked. I was reading this article Best camera settings for night photography (sympathink.com) and got to thinking an f stop 5.6 and shutter speed of 3-4 minutes an ISO 100 to 400 for A moonlit or starlit landscape, just the moon iso 100 to 400 f stop 8 and a shutter speed of setting 1/250. Just thinking how that translated into Daz. Also, have to take into account the amount of light from HDRIs. I just end up with too dark or way too bright for the night renders I make.
You also need to take into account that it's not an exact 1:1 DS to reality relationship, but it roughly works that way. The f-stops/dof relationship seems least accurate, but larger f-stop number = greater dof is the same general relationship that occurs with cameras even though the exact numbers are different.

Richard
I figured that quick when I moved to experiment with the f stop, Shutter speed, and exposure. I have been playing around with just the ISO for a while now.
