No realtime movement of joints

So, I rigged a simple tail, and it works pretty well,
I can select the individual segments and move them, and it bends as I expect it to.
The catch is it doesn't automatically follow changes made to the dials (or any form of click and drag). You need to release the mouse button before any changes become visible on the figure. While moving all you can see is a bounding box in the viewport and the changes are reflected only once the movement changes are finalised.
It's probably a super-easy fix that I've managed to miss, but I'd really appreciate a helping hand with this minor nuisance.

Draw Setting pane, Manipualtion Draw Style needs to be set to off (Use Current) - though that should affect all posing.
