Hexagon and Windows 8?

I just tried to install Hexagon on my new laptop and I can't get it to work. Stalls out before getting anywhere in the process. I have tried a number of compatibility settings, but nothing works so far. Is there a version that will work with Windows 8? Any other suggestions?

I have heard several people have issues between the 2. Thankfully I was able to get it to install by running it as Admin and turning off my anti virus (which was acting over aggressive with the files).
