Genesis 8 and 8.1 Together

I appologize if this question has been asked before, I did several Google searches and did come up with an answer. 

When you download the new Genesis Starter Essentials does it only come with the new Genesis 8.1 figures or do you also get the old Genesis 8 as well? Also if the Essentials does not include G8 can G8 be used alongside G8.1 or does G8.1 overwrite G8?

    Both are included, theya re separate pairs of figures - 8.1 does not replace 8
