Unexpected problem with Aux Viewport

I switched from an Intel to an AMD Ryzen workstation recently and while the speed of my work increased greatly, I noticed a glaring problem with the Aux Viewport. It used to be with my old PC that after I did a trial render and then pressed the Stop button, things would go back to its unrendered normal state instantly. Now on this workstation, after I press Stop on a trial render, DAZ will not respond (it goes white with a (not responding) description) for a noticeable while, from anywhere between 30 seconds to a minute, before I can start using it again. What is causing this?
