GPU upgrades for Daz 4.20

My Geforce 12GB Titan Black has been obsoleted by the latest Iray and driver updates - I'm considering options to replace - the curremt GPU climate is grim of course and normally I'd try and max out whatever card I get for longevity but $2000 for an RTX 3090 is hard to take - 11,000 cores and 24GB of memory is alluring but not sure I can justify that right now. I'm finding the 12GB RTX 3060 to be somewhat reasonable - and that would get me some equivalnecy with the Titan memory wise - anyone have experience or advice with these and IRay ?
Thanks

Here is a thread with many hardware combinations that were benchmarked with a scene you can download to compare your setup with others.

Lots of info there to look though.
I believe , currently, the RTX 3060 12GB is still the best choice accounting for cost, memory capacity and speed.
Thanks so much!
I have one of the 3060s Did a scene with 22 people and 20 different hairs styles. See Below.
Edit I should say it used all the memory for the GPU and System memory
Does that mean that it needed to fall back to the CPU becuase the card didnt have enough memory? If the scene is too large for the card it uses only the CPU right? The render doesnt use the GPU at all at that point correct? My scenes are typically not that big 2-4 characters in a room or an HDRI outdoor scene.
Actually, if your system is working as it should you will use both. See Below
