Active Pose Tool Rotates but won't Translate

Is there a way to make the active pose tool translate - ie - actually move the body part selected rather than just rotating it?

I've tried pinning the feet and moving the pelvis but the pelvis just rotates.

It seems bizarre. Why does Daz even bother having pins that simply do not work?

I don't understand - the whole point of pinning oen bone and moving another is to have the joint rotations adjust to the new position of the moved bone with the pinned bones till fixed. Perhaps you could post before and after images illustrating what you see, and if possible a direct pose showing what you want to see - remember to give the human clothes, or remove the textures, or switch to Smooth Shaded Drawstyle.

Sorry Richard, I should've gotten back to you about this earlier.

While your point is obvious and valid, the problem I had was that I would pin the feet and then try moving the whole body by the pelvis - I was thinking in terms of the inverse kinematics facility I played with years and years ago when I experimented with Poser 4 or 5 - BUT (and here's where I should've been more clear) it wasn't just the pelvis rotating................the entire figure rotated around the pelvis which is not what we want when we pin the feet.

And the problem is now solved.............I was using an older version of Daz and I've updated and yay! The pinning of feet works.

OK, glad it was resolved in the end.
