I broke my DS's File->Save command

Today's definitely not my lucky day.

I was trying to delete the DS temps, and among them deleted the files in the AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4 folder. I was hoping that DS would restore them. And it kind of did; however, since then, the File->Save command is working like the Save As instead, i.e., opening the save window instead of saving and overwriting the file.

I tried to reinstall DS, deleting all the Studio files in the installation folder, the AppData DAZ folders, and the one in the Documents. Reinstallation - check, Save command restoration - not check :(

What did I break in DS, and how do I fix it? crying

    We need to know what version of Daz Studio you are running. There are some acknowledged bugs related to the files in %appdata% in the current 4.20 release version. Those bugs were addressed in the current 4.20.0.4 beta (public build). I don't know if those bugs affect your issue or not.

    Be sure you have entered your name into the "Authorship Information" section on the General tab of the Daz Studio Preferences, to make Save work without acting like Save As. Maybe that info got lost when you deleted too many files.

    I was running 4.16.0.3 when it started, so in my case, it's probably not the 4.20 issue.

    And thanks for the Authorship Information tip! I did zero it, so yeah, it may be what caused the issue.

    Heck, there are so many small intricate things in DS laugh
