Render not using GPU and won't denoise?

So when I updated to 4.20 suddenly my render won't use my GPU anymore, and I think that is why it won't use the post denoiser? Without the post denoiser the renders are incredibly grainy. I can't seem to figure out what the issue is. But when I look at the log is says Rendering with 1 device(s): CPU

You probably need to update your driver. This version of iray has a higher minimum version, and the denoiser does require the GPU - it won't drop to CPU.

That part of the log does not help in troubleshooting. The important information was from the starting up DS up to what you posted.

Oh, it wasn't letting me put up the whole log, or the upload keeps timing out. Is there a place in the log that I can go back to that will show you all you need?

My driver is up to date. Or there are not updates listed at least.

  • Which driver version is it, and which GPU?

Are you trying to paste the log file in? Just attach it, that usually works (click Attach a File uner the body of the post, then the Browse button to find it).

holy balls sorry, i have no idea why it posted ten times

Because you pressed "Post Comment" button ten times, the forum remembers how many times you have pressed the button, even when it's slow to do as asked.

The session starts with "2021-03-14 09:54:29.024 +++++++++++++++ DAZ Studio 4.15.0.2 starting +++++++++++++++++", with the version number that you use of course
