Select Objects in Scene Setting

Hey, all--  the instructions for an item I am trying to use say, Select the background object in the scene tab. However, I don't see the background object, even with expand all.  How do I "see" it?  The product is Instant Portrait PRO - Rooms. The backgrounds always come out distorted, and I want to change the size.

Thanks. If there is such a backplate, I can't see it on screen or in the scene tab. I am wondering if there is a setting I need to turn on or something.
