Best Hardware and Memory Requirements for Iray

I'm planning on upgrading my computer this year for the first time since the original Genesis figure was released. Assuming price is no object, what do experienced DAZ Studio users recommend if one is going to use the Iray renderer in some large scenes and doesn't want to wait 16 hours for them to render? I'm not going for photorealism - most of my images having  cartoon filters anyway, but doing a graphic novel with dozens, or even hundreds of images, I really need to speed up and there are a number of assets I want to use that simply don't render in 3Delight.
