So for two years now I been getting stuff from DAZ and other places, all daz stuff goes through DIM other places I manually install in my library. Now when it comes to poses and props and clothes after it's installed I have a mess from daz as things are sorted by artist, this is really not useful when looking for stuff. So I redid it all made folders for everything sorted in an actual logical manner, clothing types (outdoor, swimwear, formal, etc.) same with props and poses. My problem comes now with the search function of daz. When I search items it comes up where it was not where it is now. is there a way to fix this?

You could put them back (or reinstall) and then either use categories to organise or use the right-click copy/paste functions in the Content Library pane to create shortcuts, leaving the original files in place (you could always use a second content directory for the shortcuts, so you didn't have to work around the default folder trees).
