8.1 clothing on 8

I'm sorry I know I've asked before and I forget. Does clothing marked for G8.1 work on G8? Isn't the base the same for both figures with exception of the faces?

I'm only asking this because I purchased an article of clothing stated for 8.1 to use on 8 and had issues. I'm just confused again I'm wondering if my age is finally affecting my memory. LOL

    You may need to persuade it to work without popping up the AutoFit dialogue by going to Edit>Figure>Scene Identification, clicking the ... button to the right of Preferred base, and selecting the Genesis 8 figure - though it should also work if you just Cancel the AutoFit dialogue.

    Thanks Richard. So I am guessing that the entire geometry on G8.1 is no longer the same as G8?

    The geometry is exactly the same, which clothing are you talking about?

    Actually it was footwear perttiA. I'm asking because  as you said the geometries are the same just as I understood them to be. But as I type this I think I may answered my question.
