JCM won't work :/

Can't seem to make my JCMs work -_-

I'm trying to do a JCM for a t-shirt. Daz already auto-created one (0 to 100) when the chest bends forwards, but i want another one (0 to -100) when it bends back, too. This would be then two JCMs (one autogenerated, one custom) for one single X-bend. Looks alright from the Property Hierarchy tab, but it won't save -- or rather it saves, but doesn't follow the movement as it should. (The autogenerated one works normally). I've tried to save it both with the JCM and the X-rot, but nothing seems to work. I'm using G8.1Female.

What might I be missing? Thanks :)

  • The auto-generated morph isn't a JCM in the T shirt - it's a JCM in the figure which is then projected into the shirt. If you look in the Constraints group in the parameters pane you will see Fit to Mode - try switching the setting and see if the JCM works then.

  • Thanks, Richard! Tried that (changing from "Redirect Transforms" to "Auto-follow Transforms" in the shirt prop), but it didn't work crying I wonder if i'm doing something wrong in the hierarchy tab -- am i forgetting to ERC anything...? Might be that the Controller attributes have something to do? I had to tweak a bit the Parameter Settings too (Limits so it wont trigger on bend-forward, and that Raw property) to make it slide properly, but i guess that would be saved as part of the Morph Asset... im attaching a couple of pics.

    Thanks again! :D

  • The ERC looks right, the Parameter Settings is showing Sub-components but for the JCM you want Controllers

  • Oh sorry. This is how it looks when i set the controllers. When i save it and then load it back it just says "No controllers"...

  • That's odd, since it iss et to save with the morph (I assume you are then resaving the morph, or saving modified assets for the clothing).

EDIT: Solved! I've tried so many things that im not sure which one did the trick. I ERC Freeze (Delta Add, Add, Substract)'d the morph after sliding it up 100%, maybe that was it. Cheers :)

Cheers, Richard. I'm still struggling with it. Even started all over again, importing a new mesh, transfer-uilitied it to G8.1F, saved as asset and tried to create the damn morph... and again no good :(

One thing I've noticed is that, when i import the morph from Blender with MorphLoaderPro, it does not load at 100%, as I kinda think it should, but at 0%. I'm loading it, reverse deformations on, upon the posed mesh, but it doesn't apply until I dial it up manually. So I do just that, making it 100% before using the Property Hierarchy. I seem to remember that the morph should be applied automatically at 100% on import, and since i am completely clueless atm thinks the problem might be at that point. Im attaching another pic just in case!

    Thanks again for your help!
