a Windows 64Bit Version is suggested - I think Windows 7 Professional (or Home) is enough (you can use the extra Money for other things)
since the total crash of my old Windows 7 Pro I use Windows 8.1

8Gb Ram is suggested, too... more are better

I don`t know about the Geforce 650 GTX... I use a NVIDIA GTX 880M wich is enough for me.

With the move to Iray in 4.8, the video card could play a more important roll. As of right now, if you do all your rendering with 3Delight, it's all CPU.
With Iray you can render with CPU, GPU or CPU+GPU

The more RAM the better -- if you can only get 8GB now, make sure the mobo can support more, and if you can get the RAM in large sticks so you can add more without tossing out what you have (for example, if the mobo has 4 slots and you have 2x4GB, you can add 2 more 4GB sticks later, but if it has 4x2GB then you have to remove some sticks to add more).

If you want to use Iray, 4GB of dedicated GPU memory is recommended, otherwise you won't be able to fit much into a scene before you need to render with CPU only.

Since my Board got 4 slots, and right now I got 2x2Gb I was going to just double it with more 2x2Gb, And in the long run seems like a good video board is worth the investment?

btw my motherboard is a ASUS M4A77TD

You may already know this, but if you have a valid licence for Win7 Ultimate, you can legally change from the 32-bit version to the 64-bit version using the same licence key. I know some OEM copies of Windows only came with either 32-bit or 64-bit installation disks (if they had them at all), but legitimate Windows 7 ISO files (images of the installation disks) are available for download, allowing you to create an installation disk if you need one. Since it is Ultimate it may be a retail copy and would have both 32 and 63 bit installation options on the disk. You may need to go through the reactivation rigamarole, but since you are not changing the motherboard, perhaps not. Again, the situation that you described should not require purchasing a new copy of Windows. If that is what you were anticipating, then you can afford to spend that money on an extra 8 Gigs of ram.

I already got a Win 7 ultimate 64b a few months ago, just never got around to install it, my big concern now is memory and video card.
With 8Gb you guys think i will be able to render scenes with 2 or 3 genesis 2 and scenery?

I´m guessing the biggest factor on how much can I put on a scene is just memory, is that right? if not then on what should I focus?

    Thank in advance!
