Eye Compatibility?

Is this correct?
I can use any eye texture kits from Genesis 8 on Genesis 8.1 figures but not the other way around?

8.1 includes a new UV for the eyes. Much like skin textures, whether or not an 8.1 texture is compatible with 8 depends on whether the PA used the new UVs for their textures.
Basically yes.
Some G8.1 eyes might be usable on G8 if they use the old UV.
Yes, as has been mentioned, Genesis 8.1 can use materials (includying eye materials/textures) from Genesis 8. However, Genesis 8 cannot use textures from Genesis 8.1 UNLESS they've been built using Genesis 8 UVS.
G8.1 is a true problem.... xD
Need more VRAM, morph no compatible, for nothing in visual exept if you zoom.... xD
Big LAG when you change movement or expressions.
I think DAZ will be works on G9, but STOp this ridiculous 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4... imagine all with special parameter for ONLY each.....
DAZ make G3, nice, G8, very nice, G.....8.1. Why? No one understand actually....
Other problem is Hair Dforce, no one can use it... One Hair need 30Giga RAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Out VRAM with one G8 all time with my RTX3060 12go....
Daz will must be works actually on optimisations, for G8.1 compatible and speed, and Dforce Hair.
I try 3 Hair Dforce, my computuer need 128go RAM!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xD
G8.1 only uses more VRAM if you're using the new UVs, and even then, it's not that much more. I don't know what you mean with the last point.
8.1 doesn't lag any more for me than 8.
Maybe YOU don't understand, but there are several clear reasons for 8.1: splitting the torso texture into body and head reduces texture stretching, improved expressions (your mileage may vary on that point, but I prefer 8.1 for expressions), better eye movement, new skin shader.
I've rendered multiple figures with dForce hair on an 8gb RTX 2060 Super.
