Strand Based Hair and Posing

I'd like to "grow" some hair on a skullcap and save it as an asset, but that seems to result in a static prop.
Can one add Dforce or bones to the generated strand based hair? Also, can one "comb" or restyle commercial fiber-based hairs?

Currently, only PAs have the ability to turn SBH into dForce hair. It might be possible to rig it, but I don't recall seeing anyone do that so far, which makes sense since SBH doesn't have actual geometry until it's rendered.
