Scale variance head and body pattern
A little help please.
I'm doing an alligator lady having applied alligator skin texture .jpg to the skin using the Diffuse Color parameter. But in the attached rendering, note that the scale of the alligator scales on the face is a lot smaller than the body. I can't figure out what to change so that the alligator scales are the same size for both the head and body.

Is this a tiling texture?
If it is, up the body to something between 3 and 4 tiles, both vertical and horizontal.
If it's not, then you'll need to do it in an image editor like Photoshop or GIMP.
Thanks for putting me on the right track. I adjusted the horizontal and vertical tiles and was able to get consistency. I wonder why treatment of the texture would be different for the head and body.
I noticed I had to change the offset so as not to get a line between the tiles. Is there a way to get rid of these lines? Note the line down her left side, upper arm and hand.
I appreciate your quick response and time.
The typical set up uses both 4000 x 4000 images for the face and body...which obviously is wrong, because the body is much larger than the face, in surface area.
The 'gator pattern is probably not truly a seamless tile, hence the visible seams. There are a couple of other things that can produce them. too. But usually it's either 'heal' them in postwork or find a different base texture to use.
Thanks. You were a grerat help to me. I'll play around a little or perhaps get a different alligator texture.
Have a good day!
