Issue saving corrective facial morphs G8 Male

I'm creating a pair of glasses that parent to G8 Male. I need to create a set of corrective morphs for figure's expressions.

I create the morph. Use the morph loader to load the morphs... They work perfectly. I make G8's expression Afraid; the glasses correct. G8's anger; glasses correct. I go through all the expressions. I get them all to work. I save the glasses. Open the glasses and all of my morphs don't work with the expressions. They're loaded but no longer tied to the G8's morphs...

Does anyone know of documention to help me with this issue

  • Did you save as Morph Assets? Morphs embedded in the scene seem to have issues auto-following, though usually that is morphs on the base figure not projecting into fitted items.

  • Hi Richard.

I First saved the corrective morph like I would saving a pJCM... It worked while it was loaded. I saved the glasses then reopened the glasses. The morph didn't work. The morph WAS saved to the directory but would active with the emotion slider. SO I tried tying the corrective morph using the ERC Freeze. I tried to tie it to the Emotion... But as you said I think it's a "temp" load... So it wouldn't save properly.

Should I use the File>Save As>Support Asset>Morph Asset(s)  and if so would this morph automatically active when the user slides the emotion on?

  • Do you mean you are using the AutoFollow projected morph as the controller? I think you do need to make an explicit morph in the glassesto match the onle in the base figure.

  • I did make an explicit morph in the glasses. Right now the user would have to dial in the corrective morph.

I'm looking for a way to have the glasses correct themselves when the figure's emotion is dialed in. All of my usual methods aren't working.

  • In the Misc section of the Parameters pane there is a Fit To Mode button - try switching that to the other option and see if that helps.

  • That worked like a charm!!!

I tested like 3 times every emotion and it still saved and worked... Thank you so much!!!
