I need to pay closer attention, some the images I was using for reference where Burmese cats and not Siamese. Ah-well, it gave me an excuse to widen the color rage.

Also more eyes, yeah eye textures are a dime a dozen but texture set's feel incomplete without them. (suddenly realizes all my set are incomplete because I haven't done any eye lashes for them)

I had hoped to finish the Siamese/Burmese set last week but... I got new glasses and had to wait for my brain to re-wire its self.

    Back to work now.yes

Got to do the same myself soon. The frames of my glasses are giving up, and I need a new varifocal (US=Tri-focal) prescription too. It takes me about a week to get used to the new ones.

Everything is basically done, just hung up on the promo art (story of my life).

*sigh* Promo art, it is inconsequential to the product its self but is an essential part none the less.

You'd think making the product in the first place would be the hard part. lol

    One done...

That's good. I really like the clothing fits. The story telling in the second image is good, but I can really identify with the first one - many a time as a brat did I have dinosaur fights with my plastic dionosaurs. Had ones of a Triceratops, Stegosaurus and an Alosaurus.

    Regards,

    Richard

    Thanks.

I seem to recall the scene from the first image playing out in my youth as well, albeit with an elephant and a jeep. lol

The second image was actually what spurred the creation of the texture set.

R&D... still a long ways off, someday...

I didn't do some technical stuff right so I'll need to redo the nose morph.

Aiko and hiro could use some more nose morphs too...

Guess an up date is in order. Had a "burn-out" back in spring, not really an art one just a "furry" one, the main cause being I wanted to "up my game" with my character but didn't know how. I'm not a PA and can't afford D|S Premier so redistributable strand based fur is out for now along with HD morphs. I made and tried out a 6k test texture but it really didn't make much of a difference and it also exacerbated a problem with 3DL rendering of the bump/displacement.

I'm finally starting to feel the urge to do more furry stuff but still haven't figured out how to improve them like I wanted.

I also I proved to myself that I don't have the stamina to make products consistently enough to really make it worth my time, add to that the lack off exposure they have where they are at.

So to sum things up, I want to improve my characters but don't know how, and I'm not very good at business.

That's understandable. Thank you for the update. I think just focusing on what brings you joy and fulfillment is important and probably the best way to go. :)

"I'm not a PA and can't afford D|S Premier so redistributable strand based fur is out for now..." Are you sure strand-based hair isn't distributable? I seam to remember people sharing their strand-based hair creations when it was first released. I think as long as it remains strand-based it's distributable.

    Yes, that is correct.

Ok, guess I'll have to practice making things hairy.

I could have sworn something to do with strand base hair was for PA's only.

So why are all the store products converted to figures then?

I think the ones that are in the store are converted to figures so that they can be dForce hair. Strand-Based hair can't be dForced. But Strand-Based hair remains able to be edited in the Strand-Based Hair Editor, where as dForce hair can't be. :)

Not sure its the look I want but its a start, only the 5th time I've use SBH so it could be worse.

3DL never did get a fancy shader for SBH that pulls the color from a map, so something that adds to the diffuse rather than covering it up is probably best for shorter fur.

Interesting!  I'm really curious how this technique would look with the Mzzkiti pelt I commissioned.  Would you mind experimenting?

ARGH!  Human feet!  Nah, just "ribbin'' ya'! wink Seriously, that's wild!  I wasn't even thinking about your attempting her pectoral and deltoid "floof"!  I thought you'd just putter with the "peach fuzz" of her overall body.  Fascinating results!

You wanted to see how it would look with just her texture, I wanted to see how it would look on her (but was too lazy to start over from scratch on the digitigrade base). lol
