Can you be more clear about what you're trying to do?

I replaced the object I made here with a G8FM. I didn't want to change the position of the G8FM, I wanted to zero out the axis.

Not sure if it is what you are asking.

But in the Joint Editor tool you can change the origin.

Click on the white numbers in the properties pane and type zero, or just hold Alt and click on them to reset them to whatever is memorized, which should be zero in this case.

When the character is that far away from the translation gizmo; That usually means that the characters hip was selected when it was moved.

If you select the characters "Hip" in the Scene pane you will be able to reset the translation axis(X,Y,Z) to zero to fix it.

Some premade poses use the hip to move the character instead of using the whole character.I find it a nuisance, so I normally fix it and re-save the pose.
