Hi
Anyone help please???
Today Daz had to shut down (fatal error message) during a render.
Now I have a black "background" and all the items load but with no colour???
I have reset content library database and re-imported Metadata and still the same...that's as far as my expertise goes!!!! :-(
Any ideas or help gratefully received.
Thanks

Assuming you mean DAZ Studio, do they render correctly? If so it's just that the preview mode is set to smooth shaded. Go to the top-right of the viewport, where the camera controls are, and click the sphere next to the long button with the camera/view name, then pick Texture Shaded from the menu (or press cmd(Mac)/ctrl(Win)-9 - cmd/ctrl+ a number picks the first 9 view modes).

    Thank you for the reply.
Yes that's worked thanks, but the background is still dark and normally the surround box indicates if you have dropped the "item" and gone below the ground level, but that doesn't happen with this black background in the actors wardrobe tab. In render the background is blue but the same with the "surround" box??.
    Thanks

Viewport colour (which doesn't render) is set in Window>Style>Customise colour (it's the last colour bar). If you want to change the colour that renders it's Windows>Panes(Tab)>Environment, set the Active type to backdrop and change the colour (or load an image): note that this is not remembered - if you want to have a default environment you need to save a scene and set DS to load that on launch or file new via Edit>Preferences.

The ground grid and aspect frame are controlled by the viewport option menu - the lined button in the top-right corner.
