Using Silent OBJ exporter and keep material names

Is there a way to keep the material names in the OBJ file when exporting ?
I export to Octane and set up the all materials but Daz Studio keep changing the material names when ever I merge another character to the scene.

If I have 1 Genesis 8 female in the scene it will export as: "usemtl Torso" in the OBJ file. If i add or merge another character it will export as: "usemtl Torso _Genesis_8_Female". And that will disconnect all materials in Octane when I reload the OBJ.

Is there a way to keep the material names so they do not change on export?

    That is an instruction saying use/assign material name "Torso" to these polygons.

  • I found out that I had to open the geometry editor and give the surfaces unique names for all figures.
