Geoshell material issues

When I load the tear jerker geoshell the materials on the torso and the back of the head of my character go weird and faded.

When I load tear intensity the face material becomes transparent. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

First of all, the forums don't allow nudity, so that image will be removed shortly.

If you're applying a material to a geoshell, make sure the geoshell is selected and not the figure. That'll take care of problem #2.

As for problem #1, it depends on how the geoshell was created. Probably an issue with transparency. I don't have it, so I can't test it. Try selecting the geoshell and disabling every surface except the ones for the face.

  • For problem number 1: I have found some geoshells to be quite sensitive to light direction - a little change can make a differance. There are also settings (I forget the terminology) for distance from skin to geoshell - increasing this may help the tear to become more noticeable. As margrave said: make sure you have selected the correct item before applying a geoshell - the wrong item can wreak havoc.

  • So I worked out the second issue. The new tears must be applied to the tears themselves.

    Still have the torso problem.

  • Cheers. I will try that. Lol. I was not intending it as a nude image. Just an example of what was happening to the torso.

Are you using a geoshell made for G8F on G8.1F maybe? The torso surface of G8F has been split in two surfaces ("head" and "body"), so materials need to be adjusted (see this post)

In this case since it's related to tears the torso is most likely supposed to be fully transparent, so just setting the head and body surfaces to fully transparent should do.
