Closing up hole in model's face

Using the geometry editor (tool settings) I made the ears of my model invisible. I want the ears to remain invisible but now there is a hole where the ears used to be. Is there any way to close up those holes?

Ther are two things you can try - one is to use a morph to smooth the area instead of hiding the mesh, but any morph that affects the ears will roughen the surface (and also, if there is any baked in shading in the maps you would see it as pattern on the smoothed area). A better solution might be to create a Geograft - a pair of patches for the area you wish to remove, with the vertices around the edgs exactly matching the vertices around the hole - you then turn those into a fitted figure in the usual way and assign the areas you have slsected to hide as the AutoHide group for the graft, so loading it hides the ears; you'd need to decide how to map the patches - it might be possible to take an area of the existing UVs nearby and have it look fairly seamless in most sets without the issue of the baked in shading showing up.
