compatibility for Flirty hair

I need to know if the "Flirty Hair" required product is needed to use the hair color if I already own the Genesis 2 part of the "required"

Product: Colors for Flirty hair

DAZ Originals goldtassel

Compatible Figures: No

Compatible Software: DAZ Studio 4.7, DAZ Studio, Poser

Required Products: Flirty Hair, Flirty Hair for Genesis 2 Female(s) (owned)

Do I need to own both of the products to use it on Genesis 2 / Victoria 6
The color choices I have now are only the four standard colors that come with the Genesis 2 Flirty hair package, even though I own the colors package. Tried everything to get the color I want ,but this error message keeps coming up.

Could not activate aniMate 2 evaluation. Plug-in disabled.

    No that is just to say that the add on pack will work with both versions.

    The colors won't load after applying flirty hair, and I have the color package. The colors don't show in smart content list. Applying the hair leaves no selection tab. Can't select the color I want. Won't work on new genesis 2 scenes or a preset I made along the way. Simply won't switch colors after applying because there is no selection line for it. Cant select it, so it wont change color. Charm hair comes up as a model, but wont change to colors either. Colors don't show under materials.
    Lost!

    Are you selecting the hair using the Surface Selection tool? That's how I always do it. Surface select, then make sure all surfaces are selected (though with presets I have found it usually doesn't matter), then double-click the hair "material" you want.

    Hair is selected on failed attempts. I did pull the hair I wanted as a new scene, and then loaded Gen 2 female, then changed parent. That worked.
