Product Whoas: "Karaoke Machine"
I finally got around to putting the "Karaoke Machine" to use BUT, any attempts to move the microphone or the machine itself results in a distorted stretchy mass. I searched the forums to see if there's been problems with the product but found nothing.
Hopefully someone using it can tell me how to use this thing. I just want to put the mic in the figure's hand but its a nightmare.
Thanks ahead of time for any help, tips or suggestions.

I've not used it yet either but like many items with a long hose or cord, you'll have to select a segment or few of the cord and slowly curve and twist it until you get to the end where the mic is where you want it.
It's a PITA and I wish Daz could handle cords better, but that's the way it goes.
I'll give that a try. Wow! Yeah that looks like a painfully slow process. The product looks great though, just as long as I can get it to work. Thank you very much, have a great day.
Already exists. Look again at the store page, the Karaoke Machine object has Easypose dials to control the microphone cord. You will sometimes need to manually select a few cord sections and twiddle with the bends there, but most of the posing can be done with Easypose.
Have you also tried pinning the main body of the machine and then pulling the mic with IK? If you click on the body of the machine it should have a little thumb tack appear somewhere that you can right-click to pin translation and rotation in place. With some items this works better than others, but it is a good combination with the movement dials Spotted Kitty mentioned plus multi-selecting the bones (you can select multiple bones in Scene Tab and then move their dials all at once in parameters if you have checked Consolidate Items and unchecked Display Separate in the parameters options). The Parameters Options are accessible by a tiny button with lines on it at the top left of the Parameters tab.
No clue what IK is, but I have tried pinning and pulling with other items (have not used karaoke machine yet) but never had any success. Usually the cords get all twisted horribly and the pinned part moves out of place (even though it's pinned)
I'll have to look up easypose and see what that's all about :)
