Identifying previous shader used

Greetings.
I use a lot of shaders on various clothes products. Several times I've come back later and wanted to recreate a specific shader used, but I cannot remember which of the many I've used, and I cannot find anywhere within the product used anything that indicates what shader is being used with it. I've checked in the "Currently Used" pane, but it doesn't show anything.
Is there anywhere in the settings, panes or viewport where I can find that information?

You could copy the material settings from a surface of a previously used asset and paste to the new one. Also, you can hover your mouse over a map slot and it will tell you the location of that particular map (bump/normal/displacement are your best bets), which can at least give you a good idea of which shader was used for it.

Save your materials out as presets, rather than part of the scene file. That way, you can just put the name of the shader pack you used in the preset's name.
