dumb question

I'm dumb..

Just got this application to open a .ds file. Is this possible, and if so, where do I enter the file to open?

  • .ds isn't a Daz Studio format, unless it's the really old script format (and I thought that was still .dsa, .dsb for binary or encrypted)). What is the file supposed to be?

The .ds file was the ascii preset/script format in DS 1 and 2, it got changed to .dsa with DS 3.

If that file is a preset (Character/Material/Pose etc) then it probably wont do much of anything on it's own.

If it's a script then it probably wont do anything either, it's a depricated format we haven't used since DS3 was launched.

  • is it .ds or .3ds? the latter is a 3D model mesh file format from Autodesk that sadly DAZ won't import but plenty of other programs will like Blender https://www.blender.org/
