transfering the ARModule to G2

I've een trying to update some characters to G2 but I've been having difficulties getting the ARModule onto a genesis 2 figure.
It transfers to Genesis fine, but when taking the next step from genesis to G2, the hands "crunch down" and the blades no longer fit correctly.

Has anyone had success getting this over to the G2M? If so, could you please provide steps and/or additional products needed?
