how to add images for textures, backgrounds, ect. on objects? where do i even go?

    For backdrops, Window > Panes > Environment
    For textures on objects, Window > Panes > Surfaces

    What I mostly do, and It may not be the Best solution, is create a Plane Primitive, and then add the Backdrop I want to that as a surface.
    Sort of simulates a Paper Backdrop in a real photo shoot. BB.
